Crypto ETF that Could Potentially Approved First in 2025

Solana is one of the strong candidates in the crypto ETF competition. Polymarket, a prediction platform, estimates the chances of the SEC approving a Solana ETF before the end of 2025 at 85%, a significant increase from its previous estimate of only 45%.

A number of large companies such as Grayscale, VanEck, and Bitwise have submitted proposals for a Solana ETF. This shows increasing institutional interest in this product. 

However, Solana's classification as a security by the SEC in several recent legal cases creates risks that could slow down the approval process.  

Next Crypto ETF Candidates: Litecoin and Hedera 

The next crypto ETF candidate is Litecoin ETF and Hedera ETF, which appear to have a better chance of being approved earlier than Solana and XRP. 

The main advantage of Litecoin and Hedera is that there are no significant regulatory issues, making the ETF approval process for these two crypto assets smoother.

Litecoin is often compared to Bitcoin due to its similar structure and utility, while Hedera's unique hashgraph technology is considered attractive to investors. These two factors provide significant competitive advantages.

Next Crypto ETF Candidates: XRP  

Meanwhile, XRP was also a strong candidate for the next crypto ETF, but was hindered by the legal conflict between SEC vs Ripple. 

Although Ripple has won some legal cases, XRP's status as a security is still debated. This makes XRP ETF approval more complicated than other altcoins.

Even so, several large companies such as Franklin Templeton and Bitwise remain optimistic about XRP, as evidenced by the filing of applications for XRP ETFs. 

Additionally, renewed interest in XRP as a means of cross-border payments makes it a strong candidate for the next crypto ETF.

Leadership Change at SEC 

Apart from the potential of the altcoin itself, the change in leadership at the SEC was also an important factor in the approval of a crypto ETF. 

Paul Atkins, who will replace Gary Gensler as SEC chairman, is known to be more crypto-friendly. This change is believed to create a more favorable environment for crypto ETF approvals.

With the potential for new, more pro-crypto leadership, altcoins such as Solana, XRP, Litecoin, and Hedera have a greater chance of getting approval in 2025.
