Bitcoin Price Crash Below $80,000, Could It Down Again?

Bitcoin Price Crash, Crypto Market Loses $900 Billion in a Month
Since Trump initiated aggressive trade policies on January 20, the crypto market has experienced a sharp decline. The total crypto market capitalization plummeted from $3.7 trillion to $2.8 trillion in just over a month, a loss of more than $900 billion.
On a monthly basis, Bitcoin price crashed more than 21% after failing to hold the $106,000 level. Bitcoin's losses worsened after it failed to defend the crucial support level of $95,000.
Bitcoin Price Crash, Gold is Superior
When Bitcoin price crash, gold actually experienced a significant increase. During this period of economic uncertainty, gold prices have continued to rise, with year-to-date increases reaching nearly 10%.
Gold has again become a global hedging asset amidst uncertain conditions. Last week, gold ETFs recorded purchases of 52 tons of gold, the largest inflow since July 2020.
In the last 12 months, gold prices have soared more than 50%, recording the best annual performance in the last decade, making it superior as a safe haven asset.

Bitcoin Price Crash, Could It Drop Again?
Analyst crypto Justin Bennett estimates that this Bitcoin price crash risks closing the CME gap at $77,360 formed since November, potentially touching the September 2023 trend level.
Bennett also doubts Bitcoin's ability to survive at current levels. For Bitcoin to not enter a bearish trend, it would need a close above $92,000, but the chances are very slim.
Meanwhile, BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes believes that Bitcoin still has the potential to experience one wave of sharper declines below $80,000 before finally stabilizing.
Not only that, the CEO of CryptoQuant is also still optimistic that Bitcoin's bull run is not over and it is unlikely that BTC prices will fall below $77,000 in the near future.
