The number of Bitcoins currently in circulation indicates that Bitcoin has almost reached the maximum Bitcoin supply limit, namely 21 million BTC. The 94% figure indicates that fewer Bitcoins will be available for mining.
Bitcoin was designed with the concept of scarcity by its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, so that it has a fixed maximum supply. This makes Bitcoin a scarce asset and a potential long-term store of value.
Mining Bitcoin
With only 1,258,128.10 BTC remaining yet to be issued, the Bitcoin mining process is becoming increasingly difficult and requires more computing power. The number of Bitcoins issued as block rewards also continues to decrease every 4 years through Bitcoin halving.

Unspendable Bitcoin
Apart from Bitcoin in circulation, there is also a small amount of Bitcoin that cannot be spent or known as "unspendable Bitcoin". Currently, the amount of Bitcoin that falls into this category is around 219.51 BTC.
Bitcoins that cannot be spent can be caused by several things, such as the owner losing the private key, or a technical error that makes the Bitcoins no longer accessible.
Losing access to Bitcoin means that BTC can no longer be used, which also indirectly reduces the amount of Bitcoin actually circulating and available on the market.
The Future of Bitcoin
With only about 6% of the total supply remaining unissued, analysts and market participants are starting to speculate on Bitcoin's future. Many believe that the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise as it gets closer to its maximum issuance limit, mainly due to increasing scarcity.
However, there are also concerns that the decreasing number of newly issued Bitcoins could lead to reduced incentives for miners to continue maintaining the network.
If block rewards become too small, miners may switch to other, more profitable blockchains, or even stop mining operations entirely.
