Ethereum

Scaramucci started by mentioning Ethereum as one of his top choices for the future. According to him, the market perception of Ethereum has experienced cyclical changes, which he said is similar to trends that come and go. 

Recalling his years of experience in the world of traditional finance, Scaramucci says, "When I came into the industry, biotech stocks were very popular, then it moved to insurance stocks, and then alternative investments in hedge funds. We went through cycles of what was trending."

Even though Ethereum may be a little “out of fashion” at the moment, Scaramucci remains optimistic about Ethereum's future. He believes that while there are several faster and cheaper blockchains, Ethereum remains the dominant smart contract platform, supporting a wide range of decentralized applications (dApps) and mission-critical protocols. "Ethereum is a winner, and I believe it will be a long-term winner," he said.

Solana (SUN)

After affirming his confidence in Ethereum, Scaramucci turned to Solana (SOL), which he saw as having excellent performance with lower transaction fees. “I think Solana—it's cheaper and faster, and now the network handles a lot of volume. 

They have a variety of things going on," said Scaramucci, who noted that he has a lot of Solana in his portfolio. Solana is known for its transaction speed and very efficient fees, which makes it a top choice for decentralized application developers.

Polkadot (DOT)

Furthermore, Polkadot (DOT) caught Scaramucci's attention as an altcoin that has great potential in Web3 and the gaming industry. "I own Polkadot. I love what Polkadot can do in the gaming industry, and I still have a lot of faith that Web3 gaming will happen," said Scaramucci. 

He describes the current Web3 environment as being like the era of VHS tapes and Blockbuster Video, where much of the potential is yet to be fully seen, but Polkadot can play a big role in connecting the larger digital ecosystem.

Avalanche (AVAX)

Scaramucci also mentioned Avalanche (AVAX) as another project he predicts will grow rapidly. While he didn't provide in-depth details, his endorsement shows that Avalanche has strengths in terms of scalability, fast transaction finality, and the growing number of projects in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. “I think the Avalanche will do well,” he said.

Algorand (SOMETHING)

Algorand (ALGO) was Scaramucci's next choice, although he admitted that this platform had experienced management changes that hampered its progress. Despite this, he still believes in Algorand's potential. 

"I think Algorand lost a bit of a step after the management change, but there's a guy called John Wood there, and I think he's very smart. I think Algorand is still undervalued," he said. He believes Algorand has positive long-term prospects, despite the challenges that must be faced.

Sui (SUI) dan Aptos (APT)

In closing, Scaramucci also listed Sui (SUI) and Aptos (APT) as altcoins with solid long-term prospects. “Sui and Aptos—I'm also a long-term supporter of both. "I don't believe there will be just one dominant chain," he said. 

These two projects, which are the result of development by former developers at Meta (formerly Facebook), are seen by Scaramucci as technologies that could play an important role in the future blockchain ecosystem.

Bitcoin Remains Dominant, But Altcoins Will Have a Big Role

Although Bitcoin remains the undisputed market leader, Scaramucci emphasized that alternative blockchains will play an important role in the future. “Bitcoin is the whale, but there is a group of cardinals—they will be very useful in terms of their applications and networks that will develop in the next 5 to 15 years,” he said. In his view, although Bitcoin will remain a “major player,” altcoins like Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot and others will grow in importance in shaping the future of blockchain technology.
