Catizen Postpones CATI Token Launch and Stops Cooperation with PETA!

Bittime - Pluto Studio, developer of the Telegram-based game Catizen, announced that the launch of the CATI token will be postponed. Pluto Studio also announced it was ending its collaboration with animal rights organization PETA after receiving criticism regarding its practices euthanasia towards animals.

Catizen: There is Problem in the CATI Token Launch

Pluto Studio originally planned to launch the CATI token in July. However, nearing the end of the month, Pluto Studio acknowledged that there were planning issues that caused a delay in the launch of the CATI token. 

Pluto Studio also added that team members, early round investors, and advisors will be subject to a 12-month cliff period after launch, and their tokens will vest gradually over the next 48 months. 

This step is taken to ensure that no tokens are allocated to these parties at the Token Generation Event (TGE).

Cooperation Controversy with PETA

In addition to the delay in launching the CATI token, Pluto Studio also faced criticism from the community regarding the $100,000 donation made to PETA. This donation is part of an initiative to donate a portion of gaming profits to charities focused on feral cats. 

However, PETA has faced controversy in the past due to its practice of euthanizing animals at its shelters. Pluto Studio also announced that it had temporarily suspended the collaboration.
