Bittime - On Saturday, October 13, former United States President Donald Trump publicly supported the token sale of World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol.
The token sale, scheduled for October 15, 2024, has attracted widespread attention from the global crypto community. In a post on X's social media, Trump stated that this was an opportunity for society to get involved in "shaping the future of finance."
Trump also invited potential investors to take part in the X Spaces session which will be held on October 14, 2024. In this session, participants can obtain more detailed information regarding the token sale mechanism and the participation process. Additionally, the World Liberty Financial platform also displays a countdown to the start of sales on its official website.
Based on reports from The Block, this project targets raising funds of $300 million (around IDR 4.65 trillion). This initial sale covers 20% of the total token supply at a full valuation of $1.5 billion (around IDR 23.25 trillion).
The WLFI token will be used as a governance tool, allowing its holders to vote on the future development of the platform. However, unlike most crypto assets, WLFI tokens are non-transferable and do not generate passive income, adding to the uniqueness of this project.
The WLFI token sale is expected to attract the attention of global investors, especially with support from influential figures such as Trump.
