Elon Musk Gives Reward to Election Voters

The Super PAC supported by Musk, and also affiliated with support for Donald Trump, stated that this move was part of an effort to increase public political participation. 

This daily lottery program will run from Saturday to Wednesday, with winners announced each day. They stated that this large bonus was aimed at encouraging people to be more involved in the elections.

US DOJ Gives Warning Letter to Elon Musk

However, the DOJ views this as a violation. The warning letter was sent on the Wednesday before the final draw.

In this warning letter, the DOJ emphasizes that providing voter registration-related bonuses, even in the form of gifts, may invite legal sanctions.

This is because, according to federal law, giving money or gifts to registered voters can be considered an action that influences the election process. 

Elon Musk Still Continues Reward Program

Even though given a warning letter, Elon Musk appears undeterred by the DOJ's warning. Through Super PA, he continues to carry out daily draws with huge prize values.
