Altcoin ETF: Dogecoin (DOGE)

Dogecoin, known as the most popular meme coin, is one of the strong candidates for the altcoin ETF launch.

Rex Shares has submitted an application to launch the Rex-Osprey DOGE ETF. Additionally, Bitwise Asset Management has also registered a Dogecoin ETF in Delaware, although it still has to file a complete application with the SEC.

Many analysts are optimistic that Dogecoin ETF could launch soon. Eric Balchunas, ETF analyst at Bloomberg, estimates that a Dogecoin ETF could be launched as early as April 2025.

Altcoin ETF: XRP (XRP)

XRP, which is tied to the Ripple network, is also taking center stage in altcoin ETF launch discussions. Several applications have been filed, such as the Rex-Osprey XRP ETF and the 21Shares Core XRP Trust.

After Ripple's victory in the legal dispute with the SEC, the chances of an XRP ETF are increasing. Analysts from J.P. Morgan estimates that an XRP ETF could attract investments of $3 to $6 billion if approved.

Additionally, there are also applications for XRP futures-based ETFs, such as ProShares Short XRP and ProShares 2x XRP, which allow investors to take a short position or leverage on future XRP price movements.

Altcoin ETF: Hedera (HBAR)

Hedera is also joining the altcoin ETF competition. Canary Capital was the first to submit an application for the Hedera ETF last November. The opportunity for the Hedera ETF is considered quite large, it could even precede the XRP and Solana ETFs.

However, there are still doubts whether investor demand is large enough for the Hedera ETF. This token does have a strong technological base, but its popularity in the market is not yet comparable to Dogecoin or XRP.

Altcoin ETF: Litecoin (LTC)

Litecoin, often referred to as Bitcoin's "brother", is also an interesting candidate for the altcoin ETF.

Canary Capital and CoinShares have submitted several applications for Litecoin-based ETFs, including plans to convert the Greyscale Litecoin Trust into an ETF.

Litecoin has an advantage in terms of regulatory stability compared to other altcoins such as Solana. This makes it expected that a Litecoin ETF will be approved sooner.

As a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency designed to increase the speed of blockchain transactions, Litecoin has a solid reputation with regulators.

Which Altcoin ETF Will Approved?

Of the four candidates, a Litecoin ETF appears to have the greatest chance of being approved sooner, given its relatively unchallenged regulatory status.

However, the Dogecoin ETF also has great potential due to its high popularity and wide community support.

Meanwhile, an XRP ETF has potential post Ripple's win, although its approval still depends on SEC policy changes.

For the Hedera ETF, although the opportunities are quite promising, the lack of investor demand could be a major obstacle.
