Ethereum Confirms will Split the Pectra Hard Fork In Two

The decision to split the hard fork Pectra being in two parts is actually not a surprise. Previously, the developers had discussed that this update was too risky to do all at once.
There is a risk that errors or bugs in the code will increase. Therefore, the developers are considering dividing these updates so they can focus more and minimize risks.

Pectra Hard Fork Part One: Early 2025
Despite the hard fork Pectra will be divided into two parts, developer Ethereum still targeting the first part in early 2025.
In this first update, 8 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) will be included.
One of the most prominent EIPs is EIP-7702, which aims to improve the user experience in using the wallet. Interestingly, this proposal was prepared by Vitalik Buterin in just 22 minutes.
Pectra Hard Fork: EVM and PeerDAS
After the Pectra hard fork first part is launched, the developers will focus on the second part.
Although the specifications for this second part may still change in the coming months, there are several proposals that are likely to be included.
One of which is Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which will get significant improvements through a series of changes referred to as EOF.
Additionally, Ethereum will introduce a new feature called PeerDAS, technology that focuses on improving data availability sampling, which will benefit Layer 2.
