Banana Gun Hacker Steals 563 ETH Coins

Bittime - Banana Gun, a popular trading bot on Telegram was hacked by hackers. Users reported their funds in crypto wallets connected to Banana Gun had been drained.

According to reports from the crypto community, as many as 563 ETH (around IDR 8.5 billion) disappeared from 36 user wallets on the Ethereum main network. Yannickcrypto.eth, an influential figure in the community, first warned of the exploit. "There have been 36 victims with a total loss of almost 563 ETH stolen," he said.

Not a Big Hack on Banana Gun?

Interestingly, even though the losses experienced by users are quite large, some parties suspect that this attack was not a large-scale hack of the Banana Gun platform. The relatively small number of affected wallets indicates the possibility of a targeted attack, rather than a widespread leak of user data.

Responding to this situation, the Banana Gun team immediately took firm action. They have disabled the bot for further investigation. Unfortunately, until now there has been no official statement explaining in detail the chronology of the incident.
