BlackRock Does the Integration BUIDL to the Solana Network
2025-03-26Bittime - BlackRock, a giant asset management company, carries out integration BUILD to the Solana network. Since its launch, BUIDL has accumulated approximately $1.7 billion in assets under management, according to data from RWA.xyz.

What is BUIDL?
BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL) is BlackRock's first tokenized fund to offer investors on-chain access to US dollar yields through investments in US Treasury bonds and cash.
BUIDL was first launched in March 2024. The fund is designed to provide institutional digital liquidity with daily dividend payments and allows near real-time peer-to-peer transfers.

BlackRock: Integration BUIDL to the Solana
The decision to integrate BUIDL into Solana reflects the superiority of this network technology. Solana is known for its cost efficiency, high transaction speed, and better scalability compared to other blockchains.
This step also follows in the footsteps of Franklin Templeton which recently launched Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX) of Solana.
Currently, FOBXX is the third largest tokenized money market fund after BlackRock's BUIDL and Hashnote's USYC.

BUIDL offers features not found in traditional money market funds that only operate during business hours. BUIDL runs 24/7 allowing crypto traders to profit from their assets.

BUIDL: Cross $1 Billion
In early March, BUIDL made history as the first tokenized fund from a Wall Street institution to reach $1 billion in assets under management.
Securitize, the company handling BUIDL tokenization, estimates that this fund could surpass the $2 billion mark as early as April 2025.
Tokenization makes it possible to overcome various limitations that exist in traditional money market systems.
