Cronos zkEVM Mainnet has Launched, $zkCRO as Gas Token

Cronos zkEVM mainnet is a Layer 2 blockchain built on Ethereum and supported by technology zkSync. 

zkSync is known for its fast transactions and low fees, making it a solution to the scalability problems that Ethereum often faces.

The Cronos zkEVM mainnet is a continuation of the testnet launched in December 2023, which has processed millions of transactions and has more than 3 million unique addresses.

$zkCRO as Gas Token

One of the unique features of Cronos zkEVM is use $zkCRO as token gas. $zkCRO is the liquid staking version of Cronos' native token, $CRO. 

By utilizing the $zkCRO token, users can make transactions on the network with lower fees and higher speed, compared to using traditional gas tokens.

Contributions from Various Partners

Cronos zkEVM mainnet launch cannot be separated from the support of many parties. This project is the result of a collaboration between Cronos Labs and the engineering team from Matter Labs, as well as several other partners such as Crypto.com, VVS Finance, Fulcrom Finance, and Veno Finance. 

More than 20 partners were involved in the development and launch of this mainnet, demonstrating the scale and scope of this project. With a wide network of partnerships, Cronos zkEVM mainnet is expected to have a significant impact on the blockchain ecosystem as a whole.
