Kaia Mainnet, Merger of Finschia and Klaytn, to Launch on August 29!

Preparations Towards Kaia Mainnet Launch

Kaia's mainnet launch on August 29 will be followed by a series of preparations. On August 23, 2024, Finschia mainnet will stop new staking processes. 

Furthermore, on August 26, 2024, the on-chain parameters of Finschia and Klaytn mainnet will be updated. This update is designed to align the two networks and prepare for full integration into Kaia.  

Changes in Governance

On August 27, 2024, Finschia governance members will deactivate the validation node and join Kaia's governance committee. With Finschia's validation node joining Kaia, the new mainnet is expected to run with greater stability and security.

Before Kaia's mainnet launch on August 29, Finschia will undergo a final upgrade on August 28, 2024. This upgrade will ensure that all elements of Finschia are ready to be integrated into Kaia without any significant technical issues.

Launch of Kaia Portal and Kaia Square

Simultaneously with the launch of Kaia mainnet, two new platforms, namely Kaia Portal and Kaia Square will be introduced to users. Kaia Portal will serve as the main gateway for users to access various services, such as token exchange, airdrop, and staking. 

Meanwhile, Kaia Square will be a place for the community to gather, interact and discuss the latest developments in the Kaia ecosystem. Both platforms are designed to provide a better user experience and ease integration with new features offered by the Kaia mainnet.  

Termination of FNSA and KAIA Trading

Along with the launch of Kaia mainnet, all exchanges will stop deposit and withdrawal services for FNSA tokens starting August 29, 2024. FNSA holders are advised to immediately transfer assets to personal wallets.  

Once the Kaia mainnet is launched, KAIA tokens will start trading on various exchanges. However, in the short term, KLAY from Klaytn may still be used as a token code. This is a temporary measure until all exchanges have successfully updated their systems to use the KAIA code in full.

Previously, the Kaia project had launched testnet v1.0.0 which was named Kairos. This testnet serves as a trial to ensure that all Kaia features and functions operate properly before the Kaia mainnet launch.
