In response to the film, Peter Todd immediately denied that he was not Satoshi Nakamoto.

Peter Todd, an early Bitcoin contributor, rejected the notion that he was hiding, as reported by Wired.
Through his X account, he appeared to attend a Bitcoin conference in Lugano, Switzerland, where a statue honoring Nakamoto was unveiled, and confirmed plans to appear at five other events in the coming weeks.
Even though it appears in documentaries Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery as candidate Satoshi Nakamoto, Todd admitted that he had never been recognized or harassed in public.
Peter Todd still refuses many audio-video interviews, saying that this decision helps him maintain his privacy.
