XRP ETF Predictions According to JPMorgan

Spot ETF Popularity and Its Impact on XRP

Spot ETFs have become a big trend in the crypto market. Currently, Bitcoin spot ETF products cover around 8% of Bitcoin's total market capitalization which reaches $1.81 trillion (around IDR 29,322 trillion). 

Meanwhile, the Ethereum ETF has lower penetration, around 3%, but shows potential growth in investment flows in the future.

JPMorgan projects that the launch of an XRP-based ETF could have a similar impact to a Bitcoin ETF. This will attract interest from both institutional and retail investors. 

Apart from that, the success of this product is also expected to pave the way for other crypto asset-based ETFs such as Solana.

Competition for XRP ETF Approval

As adoption of XRP in payment solutions increases, its appeal as an ETF base grows stronger. Currently, a number of companies such as Bitwise and WisdomTree have submitted applications to launch XRP ETF products.

Monica Long, President of Ripple, stated that an XRP-based ETF will most likely be launched after the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. This is supported by the opinion of ETF market expert Nate Geraci, who predicts that approval for an XRP ETF could happen in the near future, perhaps even this year.

Ripple Ecosystem Support

Ripple's growing ecosystem is a major supporting factor for the potential of an XRP ETF. The RLUSD stablecoin, issued on the XRP Ledger, further increases the efficiency of cross-border transactions. XRP Ledger adoption is also projected to increase thanks to this innovation.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, along with Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty, have held a meeting with US president-elect, Donald Trump. The meeting has given rise to speculation of a friendlier policy towards XRP. 

Although the details of this meeting have not been revealed, the crypto community sees it as a positive sign.

XRP Price Prediction

When this article was written, the price of XRP was at $2.54 (around IDR 41,000), experiencing a decline of 1.2% in the last 24 hours. Popular technical analyst Peter Brandt calls XRP the “Leader of the Pack” in technical charts. 

He noted the existence of a “half mast flag” pattern which indicates the potential for a continuation of the bullish trend.

Another analyst, Javon Marks, estimates that XRP has a chance to rise significantly, even reaching $16.50 (around IDR 267,300), which means a potential increase of more than 7,200%. 

Marks said this projection is in line with XRP's historical price cycle and has the potential to push the price to the range of $111 to $168 (around IDR 1.8 million to IDR 2.7 million).
