Puffer Finance Launches $PUFFER Airdrop, 13% Tokens for Community

Airdrop for Early Adopters

As part of this launch, Puffer Finance announced an airdrop that will distribute a limited number of tokens to early adopters and other eligible participants in the DeFi ecosystem.

Detail Tokenomik $PUFFER 

In its tokenomics breakdown, Puffer Finance stated that the total supply of $PUFFER tokens is capped at 1 billion, with an initial circulation of 102.3 million. Of this amount, 40% will be allocated to ecosystem and community initiatives, 20% to early contributors and advisors, and 26% to investors. 

Puffer also provides 1% of its tokens to support Ethereum core development, reflecting its commitment to the network.

First Airdrop Success  

Previously, Puffer Finance successfully implemented its first airdrop campaign called “Crunchy Carrot Quest,” which provided 75 million tokens, or around 7.5% of the total supply. 

This airdrop managed to attract attention after a snapshot was taken on October 1. Now, with the second airdrop announced, a total of 13% of $PUFFER tokens have been allocated to the community.

Benefits to the Community  

The introduction of the $PUFFER token does not only focus on token distribution alone. Puffer Finance sees this move as an important development towards decentralized governance. Holders of the $PUFFER token will have the right to participate in important decisions that will shape the direction of Puffer Finance. 

This governance process will use a vote escrow mechanism, where users can stake $PUFFER tokens to get vePUFFER tokens, which provide voting rights in the ecosystem.

The platform is developing UniFi, a rollup solution for transaction sequencing, as well as UniFi AVS, a pre-confirmation service designed to speed up the rollups process. With these steps, Puffer Finance aims to attract more participants into its ever-growing ecosystem.
