Ripple Unlocks 1 Billion Tokens in April 2025

On April 1, 2025, Ripple will open another 1 billion XRP from escrow. With the current XRP price of $2.34 (around IDR 38,610), this unlock is worth around $2.34 billion (around IDR 38.6 trillion). 

As in previous months, these tokens will be managed through predetermined escrow accounts, namely 'Ripple (26)' and 'Ripple (27)'.

This release is similar to the unlocks that occurred in February and March, where Ripple sold most of the unlocked tokens and re-locked the rest. 

From previous records, Ripple usually sells around 300 million XRP every month, generating more than $2.1 billion (around IDR 34.65 trillion) throughout 2025. Investors are now waiting to see whether this trend will continue in April.

In addition, the latest movement shows a change in distribution patterns, where some Ripple accounts have started making direct deposits to crypto exchanges. This could be an indication that Ripple may sell more XRP compared to the previous month.
