Bearsnake explains that the name Donuts is a reference to a joke that occurred on Discord in 2021, when a community member asked about how to get on the whitelist for minting Wizards Cult NFTs. The answer from Elf co-founder J Trul who said “Sacrifice your soul for a jelly donut” eventually became the official name for this reward system.
