Digital Wallet of NFT Artist DeeKay Hacked
Through posts on social media, NFT artist DeeKay shared how shocked he was when he found out that all his digital wallets had been hacked. All the savings he had accumulated from his career as a Web3 artist were gone in an instant.
DeeKay explained that this incident took place while he was in the middle of a 14-hour flight from Korea to New York, when he had no internet access at all. He was also confused about how hackers could gain access to his digital wallet.

Digital Wallet of NFT Artist DeeKay Hacked Causes
NFT Artist DeeKay suspects that his recovery phrase or seed phrase it could have leaked, although he wasn't sure how that happened. Previously, he kept a photo of his handwritten recovery phrase in Google Drive, hidden in a random folder.
Interestingly, DeeKay found no signs of suspicious login activity on his Google account. He also mentioned that perhaps the leak came from physical paper containing the recovery phrase, but this is still a big question mark.
DeeKay even considered the possibility that the attack occurred over a public Wi-Fi network or was the result of malware, even though he felt he had never downloaded any suspicious apps or files.

One of the most confusing things about this hack is the fact that the hacker only stole NFT Artist DeeKay's crypto assets, while all of his NFT works remained safe in his wallet.
Usually, in hacks like this, NFT assets will also be targeted by hackers. DeeKay also started moving his NFT works to a new, safer wallet.
