For more than three hours, Telegram Open Network (TON) did not accept any new validated transactions or was blocked. There has been increased activity due to the launch of the new memecoin DOGS, which started on August 28 today.

On X, Tonk Inu, a TON-based community platform, attributed the issue to the massive hype about DOGS. This memecoin, which was released on August 27, quickly became popular and is traded on major exchanges such as Binance and OKEx.

DOGS Reaches Peak Market Capitalization

DOGS reached a peak market capitalization of $891 million and trading volume of $1.7 billion in the first ten hours. However, according to CoinMarketCap, the price has fallen from $0.0018 to around $0.0012.

Since the last confirmed transaction occurred on block 45341899 and no new blocks have been created since then, the community is concerned about a TON network outage.
