Lawyer Fred Rispoli argued that Ripple would likely have to pay the full fine of $125 million. The SEC appears to be delaying any further decisions pending a change in leadership at the SEC.

Speculation regarding the settlement of the SEC vs Ripple case grew stronger after the SEC held a closed meeting on March 6. Some analysts predict that a decision could be announced in the next few days.
